Individual Sessions

At times life feels overwhelming and you feel out of alignment with your goals or values. Maybe you have lost interest in things that used to inspire you and you just cannot get that spark back. Some questions weigh heavy on your mind and keep you up and night and tired during the day. Whatever you are carrying now, this is where the journey starts. We go at your pace, building a trusting space and focusing on achievable, expanding goals. I aim to help you heal painful wounds, stop self-sabotaging habits, and promote independence and self-confidence.

What can I expect from an individual session?
Each session is tailored to your specific needs, offering a safe space to explore personal challenges, gain insight, and work towards meaningful change.

Typically, individual sessions last 50 minutes, but the duration can be adjusted based on individual needs and circumstances.
How often should I attend sessions?
The frequency of sessions varies for each person. Some benefit from weekly sessions, while others may prefer bi-weekly or monthly. We’ll determine the best schedule together.
Is everything I share confidential?
Absolutely. Your privacy is paramount, and all shared information remains confidential, adhering to professional standards.
How is payment for sessions handled?
Each session is priced at 130 CHF and will be billed monthly. Please note that I do not process insurance claims; all payments are out-of-pocket.

Partner Sessions

The impact they have is significant and lifechanging. Thus, problems in this realm have the power to derail us, and its consequences are often felt in nearly all aspects of life. During our sessions I strive to rebuild a sense of being heard and understood, examine behavior and communication patterns that sabotage trust and closeness, and encourage building a culture that is authentic, respectful, and sustainable.

Group Sessions

Group settings offer a unique path to growth and healing. Within this setting, we explore a particular issue and share the journey towards growth and understanding.

How long is each group session?
Each group session is one hour in duration.
How many participants are typically in a group session?
The size of the group varies, but it’s always designed to ensure a comfortable setting where every participant has an opportunity to share and engage.
How is confidentiality managed in group sessions?
Confidentiality is of paramount importance. All group members are required to commit to upholding the confidentiality of shared information. Anything disclosed within the group stays within the group, ensuring a safe and trusting environment for all.
What is the cost of group sessions and how is payment handled?
The price for group sessions is 65 CHf. Payments will be billed monthly, and it’s important to note that insurance claims are not processed; all payments are out-of-pocket.

Evaluations

I adopt a holistic viewpoint that seeks to deeply understand your unique lived experience, going beyond mere labels and aiming to authentically tell your story. Evaluations are grounded in real-world contexts, steering clear of pathologizing while shedding light on challenging thoughts or behaviors. My objective is to provide insightful, well-rounded assessments that genuinely honor your narrative, fostering hope and guiding practical steps toward empowerment.

What is the purpose of an individual assessment?
Individual assessments are designed to evaluate specific emotional or cognitive aspects of an individual. The findings can provide valuable insights into one’s well-being, strengths, and areas of growth, and can guide tailored interventions or recommendations. Please note that I do not conduct neurological tests, and the assessments I provide are not intended for court hearings or legal proceedings.
How long does an assessment typically take?
The duration varies based on the nature of the assessment. While some evaluations can be completed within a single session, others may require multiple sessions to gather comprehensive data.
How is the cost of an individual assessment determined?
The cost of an assessment ranges between 300 to 500 CHF, determined by the length of the report, the specific assessments utilized, and the overall amount of work involved in the evaluation process.
Will I receive a report after the assessment?
Yes, after the completion of the assessment, you will be provided with a detailed report. This report will cover the findings of the assessment, interpretations, and, if applicable, recommendations for further steps.
Are the results of my assessment confidential?
Absolutely. The results of your assessment, as well as any data collected, remain confidential and are handled with the utmost respect for your privacy.

How Do I Know if Therapy is Right for Me?

Deciding whether talking to someone is the right choice for you marks a significant step towards self-care and personal growth. If you’re facing persistent challenges, emotional struggles, or seeking personal development, talk therapy offers a supportive pathway forward. When seeking a therapist, prioritize finding someone whose approach aligns with your needs and values. A skilled therapist creates a secure space, listens without judgment, and tailors their approach to your unique journey. Trust your intuition – a robust therapeutic relationship is built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. It should resonate deep within you.

How do we begin?
The journey begins with a brief phone call, allowing us to become acquainted and gauge our compatibility. Our initial meeting is dedicated to addressing any queries or concerns you may have, and together, we map out the subsequent steps. At every stage, you should feel confident and well-informed about the process. However, always remember, you can alter your decision without any apprehension or obligation.
What can I expect from the sessions?

Generally, I meet with clients once per week. The sessions often begin with a review of the week and then pick up themes that may have emerged. Alternatively, we may continue progressing towards the agreed upon goal.

What will I feel?
This depends on how much you want to share and engage in the process.  Generally speaking, the aim of the meetings are to help heal or alleviate an issue you are struggling with. Processing these issues is not always easy. Yet, we need to feel the feelings before we can move on.  It is my responsibility to make sure to provide a safe space for you to explore what is weighing on your mind. This means also I ensure that you do not go where you may not be ready to go.  I am very aware that afterward you need to go “back outside” thus, ensuring that you can still fully function is a priority.
What if I change my mind?

Circumstances change and you most likely will change during this process. Sometimes a break is just what you need to let new ideas settle. Also, if you feel you are not getting what you were looking for, you are free to change the approach or terminate the sessions. It is my goal to make you feel safe and independent, which includes seeing me. You only come to see me if it brings you a benefit.

Why can I not go over my insurance?
There are three main reasons I do not go through insurances. International Psychology is a specialization, whereas most insurances focus on general psychological approaches. Everyone faces their issues in their own way. For some this process may be faster for others it may take longer. In my estimation, being under the pressure to focus on a diagnosis, which dictates what approach to take and how long one is permitted to take until that issue is resolved is counterproductive. The cost of the session is also a symbolism of commitment. Understanding that you choose this, automatically reminds of the value you place upon the sessions. Thus, the personal commitment tends to be higher, and the success is more likely.
What if my financial situation changes?
I offer a sliding scale for such situations. Should your financial situation not permit you to pay the amount, we can find a solution that alleviates the burden and works for both.
