My Approach

I am driven by the value of authentic self-discovery and psychological growth. I strive for mental wellness in all aspects of life and feel a deep calling to provide help and support with the knowledge and insights I have gained throughout my life.

Understanding Your Story, Guiding Your Journey.

My priority is to create a safe space where you are not only heard but also feel understood so we can work towards realizing an authentic life, one that resonates with balance, resilience, and a profound sense of self.

My Background

My life has certainly not been a straight line, which has made me uniquely aware of what life is like outside of the norm. I have worn many hats: university administrator, professor, expat, facilitator, counselor, mom, wife, and devoted animal lover. I earned my Ph.D.  in International Psychology, as well as a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and a Master’s degree in Human Services Administration. I have professional experience in hospitals, social services, school counseling centers, and the medical clinic of the United States Special Operations Command.

My Philosophy

My approach is based on Stoicism – I enjoy pondering over stories and art because they provide a different way to connect. Some feelings are hard to put into words, and that’s where creative methods come in. Talking about your fears and emotions with someone else can be scary. I’ve been on the other side too, so I understand. I’m all about respecting boundaries. I don’t believe in pushing too hard or rushing to find a solution. Instead, we’ll start where you’re comfortable, and we’ll naturally make progress at your pace.
